The Business Development Manager is responsible for client relationship management and the associated tasks. In terms of time prioritization any items regarding prospective new sales take precedence.  Other core responsibilities include on-site software demonstrations, lead mining, tradeshow exhibiting, white papers, marketing material feedback, management of certain clients and facilities, webinars, project scoping and quote creation.  In addition to those primary responsibilities, they must be capable of understanding the support, programming and integration processes and must be involved with the software development roadmap as they will need to have a thorough understanding of the ZPI software suite. The position reports to the General Manager.

  • Gather information from clients for feedback and enhancements to software.
  • Be aware of upcoming releases and included features.
  • High level contact for client project managers.
  • Create scope and project documentation for ZPI installation overviews based on specific client projects.
  • Primary contact for clients requiring account management or business development.
  • Perform presentations or webinars with prospective and existing clients.
  • Attend industry trade shows and generate new leads during the shows.
  • Update internal reporting with new potentials, orders, and maintenance contract information.
  • Work as part of the team to develop new potential markets or products.
  • Assist in tracking purchase orders, total sales and financial engineering.

Who we're looking for?

  • Four-year degree or technical degree with sales relevant experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle a multi-tasked role and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Specifically, during on-boarding on-site at the ZPI headquarters in Oakville, ON, CAN.
